Walk out the door,
Have to clear my head,
Have to get away.
I walk further and further,
Until I don't know where I am.
I look around at all the faces,
I don't recognise anyone I see.
I cry out,
but no one seems to hear me.
I go to more places,
Without much luck.
No one seems to care,
About someone down in the dumps.
I wander into a new town,
A strange new place,
Somehow comforting,
Somehow nice.
And when I speak,
I'm met replies.
And though I just got here,
Somehow I know,
That this new, strange place
Is my brand new home.
